I’m Paula Oyinkan, a Podcaster, Speaker and Media Changemaker on a mission to build a $1bn ecosystem that puts women at the centre of podcasting by shifting who gets seen, heard and paid.

After being made redundant during maternity leave, I walked away from the corporate world and placed a bet on myself. I launched The Paula Oyinkan Show to share unfiltered conversations with extraordinary women and document my own journey of reinvention.

While growing the show, I noticed a gap I couldn’t ignore, women, especially women of colour, remain vastly underrepresented in podcasting and media across the board.

- Of the top 100 podcasts on YouTube, only 15 are solely hosted by women
- Just 29% of weekly podcast creators in the U.S. are women
- Fewer than 2% of guests on Diary of a CEO are Black women

Yet, the opportunity is undeniable:

- Women influence 70–80% of consumer spending
- 75% of female podcast listeners say they've acted on podcast ads
- 90% say they trust ads more on women hosted podcasts

Through my podcast, public speaking and upcoming research, I’m not just amplifying women’s voices, I’m building infrastructure that allows women to own their influence, grow media empires and reshape cultural power from the inside out.

If you’re looking for a bold voice to speak, partner or collaborate on elevating women in podcasting and the creator economy, let’s talk.
